Greetings Ranger Families,

Our state testing has gone very well, and our students have tried very hard to do their best.  Thank you to Leslie Larsen and the PIPTO crew for making testing burritos for our third, fourth, and fifth grade classes.  Students love this tradition!

Mr. Safrit has a few messages for you:

Future fifth grade students: I am excited for this upcoming school year and getting to share the joys of creating music with your student. Next year we will continue having every 5th grade student participate in the beginning band. I have discussed band instruments in class and have tried to answer any questions your student may have about which instrument they would like to play next year. I invite you to attend a meeting on Tuesday April 23rd at 5pm in the High School Band room. We will be discussing how to get an instrument, what other things they will need, basic expectations for the class, and answering as many questions as I can. I also plan to have a few instruments on display so your student can pick it up and hold it. Every student is expected to have an instrument for class within the first week of school. If you are unable to attend or have any questions, please reach out.  I look forward to meeting you and I am very excited to have this opportunity to bring music into the lives of our students.

Kindergarten through 4^th Grade families,

Springtime is here and the end of another school year is coming quickly. This year our elementary spring performance will be held on May 6^th at 6pm in the Gins’ Gym. The students are all excited to perform a few songs for you. The theme of the performance is simply some fun songs we have worked on this year. Students should arrive by 5:45pm that evening and meet in the Burden Gym with their classroom teacher. Dress expectation is “something colorful and nice”. Please no jeans with holes, sweatpants, t-shirts, or hats. 4^th grade will also need to bring their recorders and music for the performance. If your child will be unable to attend, please let me know as soon as possible so we can plan for their absence. As always, if you have any questions send me an email or call the school and leave a message. I look forward to seeing you all there.

On May 1^st, at 8:30am, our elementary students will meet their teacher for the 2024-2025 school year!  Future kindergarten parents, please gather at the swings and we will enter from the kindergarten doors.  The fifth graders will travel to the middle school to learn about middle school routines and procedures. 

Track and Field Day will be May 14^th at 12:00-2:00pm at the football field.  There is not a rain/snow make up date as our schedule is full.  Let’s hope for another year of nice weather!  We are not ordering field day t-shirts this year, but please have your child wear the following color for field day:

Kindergarten:  tie dye

1^st grade:  yellow

2^nd grade: black

3^rd grade:  green

4^th grade:  purple

5^th grade:  gray

Our amazing PIPTO group will need help with teacher appreciation week, track and field day, and grilling on the green.  If you would like to help with any of these events, please reach out to [email protected] .

Nuestras pruebas estatales han ido muy bien, y nuestros estudiantes se han esforzado mucho por dar lo mejor de si mismos.  Gracias a Leslie Larsen y al equipo de PIPTO por hacer burritos para la clase de tercero, cuarto y quinto grado.  ¡A los estudiantes les encanta esta tradición! 

Mr. Safrit tiene algunos mensajes para usted:

Futuros estudiantes de quinto grado:  Estoy emocionado por este próximo año escolar y por poder compartir las alegras de crear música para su estudiante.  El próximo año continuaremos hacienda que todos los estudiantes de quinto grado participen en la banda de inicio.  Hemos hablado de los instrumentos de banda en la clase y he tratado de responder cualquier pregunta que su estudiante pueda tener sobre que instrumento le gustaría tocar el próximo año.  Los invito a asistir a una reunión el martes 23 de abril a las 5 p.m. en el salón de la banda de la escuela secundaria.  Hablaremos de cómo conseguir un instrumento, que otras cosas necesitarán, las expectativas básicas para la clase y responderé todas las preguntas que pueda.  También planeo tener algunos instrumentos en exhibición para que su estudiante pueda tomarlos y sostenerlos.  Se espera que todo estudiante tenga un instrumento para la clase dentro de la primera semana de clases.  Si no puede asistir o tiene alguna pregunta, comuníquese con nosotros.

Familias de Kínder a 4to. Grado,

La primavera está aquí y el final de otro año escolar se acerca rápidamente.  Este aáo nuestra actuación de primavera de la primaria se llevará a cabo el 6 de mayo a las 6 p.m. en el Gimnasio Gins.  Todos los estudiantes están emocionados de interpretar algunas canciones para usted.  El tema de la actuación son simplemente algunas canciones divertidas en las que hemos trabajado este año.  Los estudiantes deben de llegar cerca de las 5:45 p.m. esa noche y reunirse en el gimnasio con su maestro de clase.  La expectativa de vestimenta es “algo colorido y agradable”.  Por favor no se permiten pantalones de mezclilla con agujeros, pantalones sudaderas, camisetas o sombreros.  El cuarto grado también tendrá que traer sus flautas y música para la actuación.  Si su hijo no puede asistir, hágamelo saber lo antes posible para poder planificar su asistencia.  Como siempre, si tiene alguna pregunta envíeme un correo electrónico o llame a la escuela y deje un mensaje. Espero verlos a todos allí.

El día del atletismo será el 14 de mayo de 12:00 a 2:00 p.m. en el campo de futbol.  No hay una fecha en caso de lluvia/nieve ya que nuestro horario está lleno.  ¡Esperamos otro año de buen tiempo!  No vamos a pedir camisetas para el día de campo este año, pero por favor haga que su hijo use el siguiente color para el día de campo:
