Greetings Ranger Families,
We are wrapping up January with a Family Fun Night (Art-Themed!) this Friday, January 30th, from 5:30–7:00 PM in the lunchroom. Please plan to wear clothes that can get messy, as there will be paint involved. A big thank you to PIPTO for sponsoring this fun event—we hope to see you there!
Our amazing school counselor, Mrs. Weron, will be celebrated during School Counselor Appreciation Week, beginning February 2nd. If you would like to send her a quick thank-you message, a Google Doc is available for families to use. We also encourage students to write her a note to show appreciation for all she does to support our students through lessons on healthy choices, friendships, conflict resolution, and so much more.
The 3rd–5th Grade After-School STEAM Academy will take place on February 11th from 3:05–5:00 PM. There is still time to sign up if your child is interested. We had a fantastic experience with the younger group and are excited to welcome Compass back to our elementary!
Valentine’s Day classroom parties will be held on February 13th after the last recess. Classroom teachers will send home additional information as the date approaches.
Please remember that there will be no school on February 16th in observance of Presidents’ Day.
We are excited to welcome back the Scholastic Book Fair, hosted by Mrs. Winter, beginning February 19th and running through February 27th, following the Dr. Seuss Carnival. Students will browse the Book Fair with their classes and families may make purchases after school. The Dr. Seuss Carnival will be held on February 27th from 5:30–7:00 PM at the elementary school. Additionally, we will celebrate Read Across America Week from February 23rd–27th. Dress-up days will be announced soon—stay tuned!
The Missoula Children’s Theater will be at our school March 2nd–6th, and we are thrilled to offer this experience to our students once again. Thank you to our PIPTO team and community sponsors for making this opportunity possible.
Permission slips for auditions will be sent home closer to the event. This year’s production is Hansel and Gretel.
Science Fair information and paperwork can be found on the elementary school website, under the “student” tab. An after-school academy focused on the science fair will be offered—dates and details coming soon. The Science Fair will take place on March 13th, featuring a presentation by Steven Rokusek from SBPBS. Thank you to PIPTO for organizing this event!
Do you have a child who will be five years old on or before September 1st, 2026? We will be holding our kindergarten roundup March 30th and 31st. Please call Mrs. Shelby at 605-574-3013 to schedule an appointment. Please bring your child’s birth certificate, immunizations, and proof of address. We are excited to meet our graduating class of 2039!
For the safety of our students, please remember that parking is not allowed on McGregor Street (between the elementary school and the Boys & Girls Club). Parking is available in front of the school and in front of the Club for drop-off and pick-up.

Cerramos enero con una Noche Familiar de Diversión (¡con temática artística!) este viernes 30 de enero, de 5:30 a 7:00 en el cuarto del comedor. Por favor, planea llevar ropa que pueda ensuciarse, ya que habrá pintura de por medio. Un gran agradecimiento a PIPTO por patrocinar este divertido evento—¡esperamos verte allí!
Nuestra increíble consejera escolar, la señora Weron, será celebrada durante la Semana de Agradecimiento a la Consejero Escolar, que comenzará el 2 de febrero. Si quieres enviarle un mensaje rápido de agradecimiento, hay un documento de Google disponible para que las familias lo utilicen. También animamos a los estudiantes a que le escriban una nota para mostrarle su agradecimiento por todo lo que hace para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes en lecciones sobre elecciones saludables, amistades, resolución de conflictos y mucho más.
La Academia Extraescolar STEAM de 3º a 5º curso tendrá lugar el 11 de febrero de 3:05 a 5:00. Aún hay tiempo para inscribirse si tu hijo está interesado. Tuvimos una experiencia fantástica con el grupo más joven y estamos emocionados por continuar.
Las fiestas de San Valentín en el aula se celebrarán el 13 de febrero, después del último recreo. Los profesores de aula enviarán información adicional a casa a medida que se acerque la fecha.
Por favor, recuerda que no habrá escuela el 16 de febrero en conmemoración del Día de los Presidentes.
Estamos encantados de dar la bienvenida de nuevo a la Feria del Libro Scholastic, organizada por la Sra. Winter, que comienza el 19 de febrero y se celebrará hasta el 27 de febrero, tras el Carnaval del Dr. Seuss. Los estudiantes navegarán por la Feria del Libro con sus clases y las familias podrán hacer compras después de la escuela. El Carnaval Dr. Seuss se celebrará el 27 de febrero de 5:30 a 7:00 en la escuela primaria. Además, celebraremos la Semana de Leer a Través de América del 23 al 27 de febrero. Los días de disfraces se anunciarán pronto—¡esté atentos!
El Teatro Infantil de Missoula estará en nuestra escuela del 2 al 6 de marzo, y estamos encantados de ofrecer esta experiencia a nuestros estudiantes una vez más. Gracias a nuestro equipo de PIPTO y a los patrocinadores de la comunidad por hacer posible esta oportunidad.
