Dear Parents and Guardians,

Hello and welcome to First Grade at Hill City Elementary!  I was born and raised in Wray, Colorado.  After high school, I attended Chadron State College to pursue my passion for education.  It was there that I met my husband, a South Dakota boy, and eventually what brought me to the beautiful Black Hills. I taught for 4 years in my hometown after college, before getting married and moving to Rapid City, where I taught for 13 years. We have 2 beautiful daughters, Harper and Hailey. They are just as excited as I am to become a part of the Hill City community! 

                I received my Elementary Education degree from Chadron State College in 2005 and my Masters degree from Peru State College in 2008.  I have always had a desire to teach. I love to learn new things, and I hope to instill that same desire of learning in your child.   I’m looking forward to a fantastic year!

                I am a strong believer in teamwork, and with your support, I believe we can help your child grow both academically and socially. I am also a firm believer that open communication is key in your child's success.
